Filling System Piston filler. Tested and working well.

Color Tapered black pen with a rounded cap end. There are three bands of decreasing width and detailing. The widest band, at the top of the cap, is 1/2″ wide and has large leaves on it. The vermeil trim is 925 sterling silver with gold plating over it. Volatire’s signature is to the right of the clip. It has a blue grey tinted viewing window.

Nib Medium 18k Nib. It’s very smooth and writes like a narrow fine. We generally find Montblanc nibs to run narrow. The nib is slightly springy and is decorated with a diamond and squares pattern.

Condition Excellent + condition in box with outer printed cardboard sleeve. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. There is light scratching and handwear. There are small touches of tarnish on the trim, especially in the areas where the design is cut more deeply. This is a gorgeous, heavy, ornate pen resting in a decorative book box with black satin interior. The imprints are clear. The box has some light wear around the edges, and the glue attaching the front cover has come loose. (No white outer cardboard sleeve or booklet.)
